1967 Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500 Brake Master Cylinder Installation help!!

My Mustang has the following brake problem and I need some advice on what to do. The car is a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500 That I inherited. When I drove it would barely stop and the brake pedal would go to the floor. There was a sucking sound coming from the brake booster. I have replaced the Booster, Master Brake cylinder, and both rear cylinders. Now when I apply the brakes the pedal moves very little and is rock hard. I have no fluid entering the rear cylinders. This happens with the car running or not. I have also disconnected the brake lines from the master cylinder and I am not getting more than a little spray out of the master cylinder. The booster appears to be hooked up correctly. Any advice would be great, and thanks in advance.

Holy cow! Nice inheritance! From experience I would rebuild all the brakes and the proportioning valve. You may have a collapsed hose, a flake of rust in the line or any other of fifty things that can screw up your braking. Replace all the lines and hoses too. It's not that expensive or hard to do. Do not part with any original parts from the car! If you buy rebuilt put the old in a box...etc. Also, buy the Ford shop manual for the 67 Mustang. The underpinnings are, for the most part, the same. Geez what a deal!

Thanks Rod! But why do you think that I only get a little spray of brake fluid out of the master cylinder when I disconnect the brake lines from it and press the brake pedal?

Could it be inproper installation of the new brake booster and master cylinder? Or did I need to do something to the Master Cylinder prior to installing it?

Thanks again!
