First off I'm new to this forum stuff...

Alright guys I've got a '67 coupe with major turn signal problems. It started out as the left rear brake/turn signal light wouldn't work. Then after I did the three bulb conversion it was intermittent problem. Then i replaced the brake light switch, no fix. Ii then replaced the headlight switch, no fix. During this i noticed three severed wires all the same color, so I combined them and it worked for a while. After about a few months it stopped working again so i traced the wires down and they were just the door open light on the roof. I went to a show the other day with no problems all lights worked perfect, but on the way home the left rear brake/turn didn't work at all and the left rear brake/turn was on constantly. And when i had the signal on and depressed the brake pedal the lights would stay on not flash. Also even when the key on engine off the left rear will still flash. I am thinking that the turn signal switch is shorting out internally. Thanks for reading this long thad and any help will be greatly appreciated. *On a side note when i put the horn button/piece on it arcs on the rod. Thats what i think is the switch.

It very well could be your turn signal switch inside the steering wheel/horn area. I will let the experts comment on that.

Another thing to check is the ground on the rear light circuit. A bad or rusty ground wire can cause strange problems. I would check this first because you say it is an intermittent problem.

Hope this helps.
