1967 Re-Restoration-New to the forums

I restored my 1967 Mustang over 20 years ago. When the transmission locked up in 1st gear, I put her on moth balls for over a decade. My wife was bitten by the restoration bug and so we are starting the re-restoration project. Even after 10 years, the engine has not seized up, the oil is still full and clear and the transmission fluid is nice and pink. Now that we have decided to start on this project, there were a few modifications I wanted to do. First, convert the front (and maybe the rear too) from drum to disc brakes. Also wanted to remove the distributor and switch to electronic ignition. I am sure I will be asking for advice for not only these, but other items as well. Can not wait to hear the purr of that 289 again.

Thanks for the tip. I know the front are going to be converted. Still debating about the rear. I have had so much trouble with the points. She would skip and eventually choke. I would take the cap off and have to file the contacts as they would develop small tips. Was very annoying.
