I have searched and cannot seem to locate how to adjust the window height for my 67 vert. I cannot seem to locate where the stop is, and or how to adjust it. See pics.

Well, I have a couple shots of the shop manual but couldn't load them. Tried twice with a 15 minute wait both times. Will try again later if I get around to it.

I have a schematic, but really cannot make heads or tails as to which and what to do? I also tried to paste it in and cannot seem to figure out how to do it?

The upper stop is located on the rear guide, near the top. I don't know if it can be adjusted in the door. It's difficult to get to. That stop may need moved up to let the window slide up more.

I found that stop and thought I had it but there does not appear to be any adjustment. I lossened the nut and tried moving the stop down, and it would not budge. Appears there is no slot in back just a straight hole, hence it will not move. Just have to believe that there is an adjustment for height?

Hmmm....I just installed one a few days ago and seem to remember a slot for the stop, but maybe not. However right in front of the stop is another slotted adjustment. This actually might move the entire stop assembly. It is accessible from the door jamb as long as there is no seal on the door.

Look at you center photo of the door parts. On the left side, in the middle, is the front upper stop detail. It is a 'pressed' sheet metal bracket about the size of your thumb and has a bend in the center. It is bolted to the lower window frame and sticks out toward the inside of the door. When the window is rolled up it catches on a portion of the vent window/front runner frame that sticks straight back and is the size of about 2 fingers. You can see it if you look down the front channel with the window down.

This up stop may be adjusted to high and engaging before the window is in place.

When rolling up the window, is it level, then hits one stop before the other?

Your drawing also shows the rear up stop detail at the top right. A cast thing that looks like a wide J.

The photos are of my '66, but same idea.

Yea - you are correct. There is a height adjustment once you remove the door jam cover. Thanks so much!btw.gif

Yep I checked mine tonight and it's adjustable up or down.
