Ok, I really need help on this one. I got a text from my boss a couple minutes ago saying that tomorrow at work, I will be installing and operating the hydraulics for a 1968 convertible that we are almost done with. The problem is, I need to find out a couple things because he won't be there. Here's what I need.

1. What fluid to use
2. How much of it
3. How to bleed it

Thanks guys, Michael.

When I filled mine, I had the top down so the cylinders were completely collapsed. Then I filled the reservoir up to the top. I loosened the fitting at the cylinders and operated the pump until oil reached the cylinder, then I tightened those fittings. I refilled the reservoir and raised the top. What little air was in the system worked itself back to the reservoir after a few cycles. I then topped it off a final time.

I used real hydraulic fluid, not ATF.
