I just bought the wheels in the link below for my 1968 White Coupe. Currently haing 289 rebuilt, Tranny is rebuilt and bought new suspension components and JBA Exhaust so I want to find some tires for these rims and get this ride back on the road!

Any recommendations for Tire size. Most Fitment guides are telling me 225/60/15 front and rear.
The Rims are 15x7 front and 15x8 rear.

Any size recommendations would be great to have a good look and avoid rubbing.

Have Drum brakes front and rear, and 5 leaf standard eye springs in the rear. New shocks all the way around.

Thanks in advance!!!

first off, i love your choice of wheels....classic.

i've had 2 1968 coupes and fought tire rub on both....i always wanted the most tire i could stuff underneath.

i agree with your fitment guide suggestions, your already going with staggered wheels, you might want to consider 225/50's, that's what i had on my last '68 and they worked well. plus the look of the classic BF Goodrich TA's is what i liked.

take your time and do the research, tire rub is frustrating, your wheel offset has as much to do with fit as tire height and width.

good luck
