I have a 1968 mustang 302 8cylinder that has a cylinder problem, the number three cylinder doesnt fire after a overhaul in the engine, but i didnt replace anything in the heads as in valves, valve springs, ect. Could this be the problem that there is a smashed exhaust valve?????

Try swapping plugs and see if it fires then! Also, the exhaust valve might play a role in your problem, is there still exhaust flow?
