Hey Guys, I got my hands on a very nice 68 mustang dash clock and would like to install it in my 68 coupe. The question I have before taking apart the Gauge cluster is where the power lead comes from in the back of the cluster. I have a blank plate there now, would there be a spare wire in the back of the cluster already for the clock or is this something i would need to provide.

The clock was an option on any car. I added an original clock to my 68 a few years ago, the wire is already there with the connector taped right where the clock goes. Very easy install.

If it is the clock won't work.

Did you know you can swap in a quartz movement from a 85 Toyota Tercel ?

That's what I did and it works great

I wanted to know if I neeed to disconnect the battery before removing the guage cluster. But thanks. Yeah quartz is the way to go but trying to save a few bucks had the clock cleaned and lubed tested fine.
