Hey guys,
I have a 68 coupe and after finding both rear panels and the tailight panel to be 60% bondo I went ahead and just bought some restoration panels.

Basically, in what order/how would you install these three?

I bow down to your limitless knowledge....:worship

I would do the taillight panel first. Using the old quarters as an alignment guide. Then replace one quarter at a time. After removing the old with a spotweld cutter, grind off the high "buttons with a 4inch grinder. Then put your holes in the new panel for the rosette welds.

Agreed, the taillight panel will keep your framerails, floor and rearend square. Once that is done tackle one quarter at a time.

Rodbender and Icerat are absolutely correct. Tail light panel before rear quarters. There is a cross member you can pick up from any Mustang supplier for about $20. It supports the rear of the fuel tank. It made my life easier replacing this along with the tail light panel. It also assists in squaring everything up. Then you can tackle the quarters. These pics are of a 65 but you get the idea. :winks
