1968 Mustang Speedometer needle "bottomed out"

Hey guys,

While replacing bulbs behind the instrument cluster, I disconnected the speedometer cable. When I put reconnected it, the needle is what I would call "bottomed out". It is resting at almost the 6 o'clock position and now it is reading about 20mph slower than actual speed. It was calibrated perfectly before I did this....

How do I get the needle to rest at zero? FYI there is no pin for the needle to rest on.

Thanks,

Steve

Strange, it should have nothing to do with the cable.
Try removing the cable and see if it will screw on 180 degrees to where you had it, if you know what I mean.
I've removed the cable several times and reconnected in every way possible.....no results GRRRR!

Thanks for the reply though
