It's time to replace the 20 year old Cragar SS Mags and bias ply tires on my Mach 1. It only gets a couple of hundred miles a year on it, but the tires are beginning to crack in the sidewalls. I want to replace the 14x6 rims with 15x7. The stock backspace is 4-1/4" for the stock 15x7 rims. I am looking at Cragar #61C571240 Direct Drill Chrome SS Rim with a backspace of 4". These are 4.5" bolt circle rims and not the PITA vari fit rims. I assume the 1/4" difference in backspace will not be a big deal. Anyone know for sure?

I am also considering either P215/70R15 BFG Radial TA's or P225/60R15 BFG Radial TA's. Is anyone using these tire sizes on their 69 Mach 1 and are there any rubbing issues from the front or rear?

Thanks for your help. It is an expensive outlay only to find out they won't fit.
