I just picked up this car with original wheels and want to mod it up a bit. If i put 17" 225s in front and 245s in the rear, will I have any problems and would you advise for or against.

Welcome to the club David,

First thing you need to know are all te deatils about the rims and tires...

Backspacing can kill you if you don't pay attention to it, especially since most 17 rims are for latemodel cars and the BS will be alot different for a 69 Mustang. You'll alsp have to determine an aspect ration, like 60's or 70's or whatever's. Check out this chart for what has worked for others. It a great help...

Now, you asked for it:smilie, advice that is, it is my opinion that classic cars should have classic looks. Mods are great, but 17" rims on a sixties car looks Hot Wheels/Matchbox to me. It's your car and certainly your tatses so do anything you want with.:bigthumbsup
