1973 mustang rear end? I want a posi to bolt right up.

:headscratch:I have been looking for a new rear end for my 1973 mustang...I am running a 302 with an automatic c4 any body got some suggestions for size and gearing???...and what rear end would bolt up for me and where could i get it?

As for gearing, don't go lower (higher numerically) than 3.50:1 if you are going to do any highway driving. This will give you an engine speed of approx 3000 RPM at 65 MPH. Fuel milage suffers with this ratio, but the trade off is good acceleration.

What size rear end does the car have presently? If the engine isn't going to have over 300HP and you aren't going drag racing, the 8 inch rear end should be OK.
