hey, does any one out there know where I can find parts for my 1976 mustang? pretty much looking for a dash, emblems, carpet, headliner, and both rear and front bumper. trying to keep it all original and thats where im running into problems. also another question is what is the biggest engine i can get into my mustang. I was told a 405 small block but the source is kinda sketchy. thanks

You can get a lot of factory original parts from Phil at Mustang Specialty Shop. [email protected]. They have lots of parts both new and used. I have bought several things from them over the years.

I am running a 351W in my 78. I have seen people put 460 big bocks in with quite a bit of modification. If you run stock II motor mounts with a II bell on the trans and exaust manifolds for a factory 302 car the only part you have to modify is the oil pan. running the manual steering rack will give you more room as well. I ran the factory mounts and a 157 tooth bell housing so I only had to run a small spacer for the mounts to the block and my oil pan cleared without modification. With the larger bell the exaust was a problem. My car is for drag racing only so I ran the headers up and forward to cure the clearance problems. Good luck!!!!:bigthumbsup
