I have a 1981 mustang ghia hatch with a 3.3l inline 6 with the German style 4spd trans, I was wondering if I would be able to bolt a 302 up to this trans or what modifications I'd have to do to the trans to make it work

You have to change trans and k-member. Even if you could find correct bell housing 302 would destroy it-I've destroyed them behind a 4cyl
