hey guys i hope u can help i just spun the bearings in my 89 mustang gt 5.0 h.o efi engine im in the process of purchasing a 1982 ford mustang gt 5.0 engine its carburated i was wondering can the 1982 engine be converted to efi using the 1989 mustang 5.0 h.o parts if it can what process is needed or can it really be done any help would be great so i can get this pony on the road as soon as possible thanks :wavey

Well im not sure what heads are on an 84 302 but it really shouldnt matter as long as there in the ford family lol i.e. 289,302,351, they all will fit on a 5.0 block. If the 84 is in good shape bolt on your intakes and inj. Along with efi distributor block off the manual fuel pump opening as it is only 4-10psi cant use it. And you should be good to go. Of course you must transfer all the engine sensors as well. The 5.0 block hasnt ever really changed all that did is what went into the block and the method of fuel delivery dont really care what the internals are.
