I have a 1983 mustang turbo gt that I got from a lady for free and it has sat for 12 years. It has 108k miles on it so I'd really like to restore it! I put some gas in it and then I tried to turn it over but it wont even try to! when the key is in the start position the fuel pumps come on and the lights in the dash come on so I dont think that its the ignition switch(I could be wrong). I jumped the solenoid and the starter turned over the engine just fine but it would not start.I'ts for sure getting fuel but there is no spark whatsoever. Could it be the neutral safety switch? What else could it be? Any pics/info would be appreciated because I have never worked on ford vehicles before. Thanks!
