My 1984 mustang will stall while I'm driving down the road. It does not matter if it is hot or cold out. Usually after I drive over 15-20 miles. Does not always happen. Used to do it mostly when I was driving uphill, but now it does it just any time. I let it sit on the side of the road a few minutes and it will start back up. But it will go for a little way then do it again. Its a carbureted 5.0. I have changed the fuel pump, the fuel filter. The fuel lines are not against anything hot to cause vapor lock.

what type of ignition do you have? could be the module.

it has duraspark ignition

is the carb loading up and causing it to stall? the back venturas could be leaking gas into the bowls causing the car to choke down. may have trash or rust in it causing the needle not to seat. all the older mustangs have rust in gas tank problems
