1985-1985 Mustang clutch diameter -- is the extra half-inch worth it?

This is mostly for my curiosity, and academically I think I understand, but if someone knows what effect there is from the change of a 10-inch diameter to 10.5-inch diameter on the clutch, that was made between the 1985 and 1986 model years? My '83 obviously has the 10-inch stock, but is it worth an upgrade? Is it eve noticeable? I'm pulling my T5 for full replacement, and I'll be replacing the clutch when I do it (may as well, you know, since I've seen the "work" that the previous owner(s) did and would rather have some peace-of-mind).

That 1/2 inch is 1/2 inch more of clutch material to engage with the flywheel. More grip, better performance.
