so are you have fuel pressure when it will not start? is fuel entering the intake from carb? hard to say it is vapor lock on a carb engine i hope it did not get that hot to turn the fuel in the bowls to vapor. i am thinking it is flooded. pull the plugs and see if they are wet

i have not checked the fuel pressure when i shut it off to see if it is different than what it is when cold. i know when i turn the engine over when warm it cranks but wont fire one day a guy was looking and cranked and cranked untill the batt was dead i said for get it later on that night he said try and start and i did it backfired then fired up. how can you tell if it is vapor lock will the fuel pressure gauge show a difference?
