i am currently swapping a 1987 gt drivetrain into a 1992 4cyl notch.but when i took the eec out it says "3.0 taurus/sable only" on the warranty seal and the id # is DA1.i thought they were all either an A3M,A9L,or A9P?it did run with this eec,i drove it home myself.will this affect anything?

A3M, A9L, and A9P (among others) are for MAF systems.

DA1 (among others) is for SD systems.

'87 is SD.

If you're planning on future mods like heads, cam, intake and so on, be a good idea to switch to mass air. If you're going to put it stock, you could keep the speed density.
