So heres how it happen cruising at about 95 mph. and of course I was getting on it to get to this speed when i heard a tapping sound. The sound wasn't extremely loud but know when I start the car it Idles great, but when I increase the RPMs up the tap sound comes back. What could this be bearing, oil pump, or did my motor take a **** on me
???:happyhapp

If you are driving the car and bring the rpms up to 2000 or so then shift into second or third and as the clutch is pushed in and the rpms are falling if you hear this tapping sound then it could be your rod bearings. Could be a lifter collapsing.
