Hi folks

I'm in the progress of having a 363 Dart short block built at FordStrokers , jumped in line back at the end of November so I have a few more months before we HAVE to have the final combo nailed down.

Car : 88 Hatchback GT 3:27 Rear gear , MM HD lower control arms a 2.63 T-56 Magnum ,
just a street car, to drive at leisure, no track racing at all.

Woody is also going to do the top end and bottom end pretty much complete except the front accessories.

my dilemma is I have a set of Trick Flow 11R 190 Street port heads and everyone says they are too small.

I also have a Holley Systemax II nib bought from Ed @ FTI , he cleans them up a bit in the runners and casting flash when you buy from him , it's a very nice piece.

Ed will also be doing a custom cam for the build .

I can try to sell my 190's , but don't want to take a huge loss in doing so.

so I'm going to ask for opinions on what type of motor I would end up with , if we went with the 11R 190 street port heads.

Thanks for any opinions

Rick

Ok Thanks for the advice

I went ahead and sold the heads on another site , and am going to get bigger heads for the build.

stay tuned it's going to be a good One lol wiggle.gifhappy053.gifrasta.gif
I think that "a good one" is a understatement! I was pretty happy with my 170's... I would like to see what you end up with. Come back and share!

Are you doing any suspension or body reinforcement? It sounds like you have something serious under the hood!

I would like to learn how to install a IRS. I have a friend that works at a AirForce base doing structure repair. We might have to get together on that.

Anyways, I am excited for you

Howdy Folks,

Sharad I would love to hear the details on your 428 build, Stupid fast , I love it, hope mine will be too.

after bouncing around a little , we decided on the Dart block 427 , so far with the TEA TF 225 HP heads, that's all that's settled for now.

I'm thinking a Super Vic with an elbow and 90mm TB.

Jim is going to do the complete engine basicly , because that's too much money for a beginner . with a custom cam for my setup.

Dustin, my car is on jack stands for a while now, so far I've installed MM full length subframe connectors , the raw ones not the painted ones, I welded in myself, and painted Black, they were a little cheaper and I didn't have to grind paint off to put them in, the car has MM HD lower rear control arms, new bushings in the uppers,

I will look at doing something with the torque box's and I have MM coil-over kits for Bilsteins for front and back, still need to figure out the spring rates, I hear if you don't get them correct it's a rough ride.

I've stripped down the entire engine bay, and painted Factory "porno" red lol, and clear coated, got my head light back in with the light harness up front

I found an 89 main harness and sent it with all the front harness's to McCully's racing engines, and had Jason clean and wrap all those.

I've got most the harness's installed now, with a new Brake booster, Thanks Rock-Auto, new windshield wiper motor, new map sensor, new washer fluid reservoir.

and have the stock K-member all tore out. and installed my Boss Inc. Cobra R hood.

here's a pic or two as how I started and the way she sits now.
