[refurbed 88 5.0]

I finally turned over to the mustang world,just bought a 88 lx 5.0 car was running great tore the top half down to replace gaskets and port and polish intake got it all back together and doesnt start now. Everything is pluged in and connected,getting fuel just no spark. Could it be a fuseable link at the celenoid. please help. by the way im lovin the stang so far.:bigthumbsup

Most likely problem is the distributor, make sure it's #1 TDC on the power stroke. It's easy to get it #1 on the exhaust stroke. If all the compressions going out the exhaust, there's no fire.

do you know for a fact that your not getting spark? have you actualy checked to see if your getting spark? like EAGLE said it could be in the timming, also ive seen people plug the ignition module (on distribuitor) in wrong and bend the pins(the metal pieces that actualy make the contact) so theres no connection

i dont believe its a fusible link.is there any other symptoms?

possible ground not hooked up?back of head ,firewall etc?

Have not tried TDC yet ,no other symptoms and what ground I'll look .thanks for info I'll try tomorrow .
