I have a 1988 mustang lx 5.0, I have a short in my fuse box along with the mounting screw holes are broken. So I was wondering if any one could tell me how to remove the wires on the box. Or will I need to just get a full wiring harness with the fuse box?

If you got a short then I would say full harness.

to remove the wires you will need a very thin durable piece of metal say a paper clip or a long needle with the point broke off each wire has a small retainer clip that holds it in the socket it may be in the front or the back of the wire once you see where it is push the object in just enuff to push the clip down and slide wire out make sure to do one at a time not to put it in a wrong place once you find the wire with the short repair it
