I bought my 88 mustang gt about 4 months ago and the clutch was working just fine. about a week ago I stepped on the clutch pedal and I heard a good crack just above the pedal. Then I had no clutch so I stretched it with some plyers just to get home. I've changed the clutch cable twice in one day and it just keeps on braking on me.

If anybody knows whats going on I would realy appreciate it if you would message me here or at my e-mail [email protected]

Sounds like something is binding and not allowing it to extend and retract properly.

Check out your quadrant and pawl. If you heard a crack above the pedal, maybe one of them broke and are binding.
