1988 mustang gt Unknown electrical connections

Ok.. the other day i was sitting in my passenger seat and looked over under my dash above the pedals and saw these two random plugs hanging not hooked up to anything.. I was wondering if anyone happens to know what they are what they are for or anything like that.
the black one is on the left side right under the fuse box. the grey one is right above the gas pedal

I think it is the brake disconnect for the cruise control, does your cruise control work?
