Hi, I found this site while researching my car. I saw some folks on here who know their stuff and thought I would drop in.
I learned to drive on my dad's 64 1/2 and loved everything Mustang ever since. I am the original owner of a 1988 LX 5.0 with the T-top option. I looked forever to find that car. Back then, you had to talk to people to find cars instead of beating on this idiot box.
Just for the sake of my two cents on the number of 88 t-tops made debate, I swapped emails with an official from Ford a couple of years ago.He said that despite many an effort, no one has come up with an exact number. I asked if he had a "guesstimate" but he only would say that my model wasn't very common at all. That was it. I might try again and have something to report on.
It's good to be amongst folks who understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!
