i have a 1989 mustang lx 2.3 auto. has a dead engine miss at idle until around 2500 rpm. number 2 is dead (removed plug wire and had not change). i have installed # 2 injector, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. i have good spark at the plug, has power at the injector and a pulsating ground signal. i have not ran a compression test yet but plan to tonight. the car has 52,000 miles on it. any ideas as to what the internal issue is? im hoping for a tapit or lifter. is there anything common about this issue? engine makes no ticking noises and fires right up. PLEASE HELP!!

I agree. From reading I take it you replaced #2 injector. If so follow Renzo advice. If not replace it. I had the same thing happen and search and search. Miss I couldn't find. Bodyshop buddy said remove one injector wire at a time and found it. It was bad. Maurice

Ok I did the compression test
1 had 160
2 had 30
3 had 50
4 had 155

Is it possible the head gasket is blown between 2 and 3 is this a common issue?
