It's possible but like the others said, that stock intake gotsta go if you want the best setup. It's like trying to breathe through a straw while running track.
Just understand ETs don't come exclusively from under the hood. There's as much ET in your suspension but also from the nut behind the wheel. You need seat time to hone your driving skills and that alone would really knock down some ET.
There's a guy local to me that runs an 8.03 (1/8 mile) with 100% stock under the hood, down to the air silencer. BUT.
What he does have is a cat back exhaust (Flowmaster, what else?), Mickey Thompson ET Streets, and 4:10s. He'll ice down the intake for 45 minutes, then take the accessory belt off and make his runs that way. Yes he runs without the alternator charging or water pump turning. He'll make his run and then put the belt back on when he gets on the return road with the heater on full blast to cool the engine. He runs 8.0s all day long that way.
The point is, there's many other ways to low ETs than what most do and that's thinking it's all under the hood.
