i have a 89 5.0 and i just got a new cold air intake and im waiting on my airade throttle body spacer... my questions about the room i have between the strut tower and the intake after i put the T.B. spacer on because even now the intake hits the tower... i wanted to do a egr delete to save room but wasnt sure if there was a way to not spend money and how i would do it the right way. Any input would be awesome...

The only way to eliminate the EGR without spending money is to cut out a piece of metal to go over the hole that will be made when the valve is taken out. You could take off the EGR spacer to get rid of it, but if you did, you'd have no provision to bolt the throttle cable bracket to, so to take off the spacer, you MUST get an eliminator plate, one that has those bolt holes you need unless you can cobble one up yourself, which if you can, great. That's what the spacer does other than the EGR is give the bracket something to bolt to.
