Hey all,

I have a 1989 GT that I believe the clutch and/or clutch cable is beginning to wear out on.

I want to do the repairs myself (just purchased the Chilton repair manual), and I was looking for suggestions on what hardware I should purchase.

Not looking for racing performance in particular (too many dings on the driving record to warrant that haha), but something worth my cash.

Thanks!

Welcome to AFM! I'm a fan of Spec and Fidanza (have a Spec Stage II on my 06GT). Check out our sponsors and you'll see what they have to offer in the way of clutches. You can also check out the 5.0 Talk and Tech sections and search for some past threads there that might turn up some good info for you.

Thanks for joining!

I just purchased a F1 Racing Stage 1 clutch and love it. Price was great. I got it off an ebay store. I also picked up a new granatelli Motorsports clutch cable and upr quadrant and fire wall adjuster, also did the trans mount while is was there (prothane). I would look around on ebay. I got all my stuff (even the UPR stuff) off there. I post this as there were the items i chose to replace while doing the clutch. :winks
