hello room

my problem is i'am trying to set the timing on my 1989 mustang gt.
the problem is the chiltons manual say i must disconnect a wire 1st.
i've looked everywere for this wire . does anyone have a clue were it is
the manual say its ( a single wire-in-line spout connector ):headscratch: can anyone help me

p.s iam a gm guy this is my sons 1st mustang . please dont hold it agianst me lol

It's the square plug right in the same harness next to the distributor wire.

not holding it against you ha ha.. ya its the wire off of the computer. you have to disconnect it because you want a solid bare bones distributer to set nominal timing. and then the computer can fu*k with the timing from there after the wire is hooked up

one more question! just a tune up or a new ignition system all together?!?!

Look at the harness that plugs into the distributor module, follow it back a few inches and you'll see a black plug. That's the spout connector.
