hi guys today i was under my 89 found i have a oil leak from the low oil sensor where can i buy a plug for this hole what size nut/bolt would i need?

umm a lil confused so which 1 do i use i want to eliminate the sensor and just plug it. so what size bolt or drain plug will fit the sensor hole.

LOL Sorry, after looking at my notes it is a 20mm 1.5 pitch plug. You can get them at Oreily's for $2.99

You know you'll get the low oil level light to activate and not ever go off, don't you?

No it won't. The wire on the sensor is a ground. Once the oil level get low, the sensor grounds, on the other side of the low oil light in the dash is a 12v source. Sensor grounds and completes the circuit. Light comes on. Keep the sensor wire from grounding and no light comes on.

OK thank u so much i want to plug it because i change my oil every 110 days don't ask y lol. and this is where the leak is coming from and at the moment if i don't have to spend 30-50 bucks im not. and there's no cons to doing a plug so y not

Ok went to every hardware andauto store no one knows wat a pitch plug is and I cannot find it if any one knows can u post a pic and the name and where to find it please

You need a 20mm 1.5 thread pitch plug. The plug is not called a "pitch plug". "Pitch" has to do with the amount of threads per inch. Our Advanced has a whole section of these things. If not, go to Home Depot or something.

i know this is off topic but i just got my first fox and was woundering if any 1 elses oil pressure gauge bounces around i have been driven it for a week or so so its not the oil pump
