1989 Mustang LX 5.0, Transmission Rebuild Help

Hey guys,

I have a 1989 lx 5.0. It has an automatic transmission. It is starting to slip. I was told it probably needs rebuilt. How much is a rebuild kit and does anyone have a how-to guide on rebuiling the transmission. My buddy and I are going to have to do the rebuild. All the help I can get I would appreciate.

It has 130,000. It only does it in AOD. I recently had a custom performance chip made for my mods. Now it still slips in AOD, then it goes a little and revs up because it is slipping then it stops and goes. It is getting worse since the chip was put in.

Also I have not flushed or did any kind of maintenance on the transmission.Maybe that is a problem also.
