Hi All - Just picked up a 1990 Mustang GT w/ 5 Spd. Has a recent clutch cable (new), but does the same thing as the old. I have never had to push the clutch pedal so far down to the floor.

Any suggestions?

If the adjustment on the pedal is maxed out you should get an adjustable cable.

Have to say, I swear by the Ford OEM Cable. I have broken 2 aftermarket adjustable cables. But this ford cable is goin on forever here.

Clutch Pedal Adjustment

As long as I am not causing any damage by depressing to the floor, I can live with it. the old one broke at the firewall rubber connection. Is this where they normally fail? Probably has never been replaced.
