[MY 85 GT]

Anyone know how to determine what gear ratio you have by the door code?..I have a 90 GT door code...M under axle code...does anyone know what ratio that is?...

i have no clue, but you can jack your rear up, mark the driveshaft, and spin your tires in neutral. then you can figure out the ratio that way

Yeah do that. I dont think the door tag specifies gear ratio, only whether its a Trac Loc or open rear. Could be wrong there though.

I thought the axle code told you what gear ratio it has?...Im thinking its 2.73's but maybe its not..

M means 2.73, I think z means 3.08, I think thats all you could get in 90?????.... You might look on the pumpkin to see if there is a tag. Maybe 3.27 was available. And I am pretty sure all 87-93 had Trac-Locs, not sure, wish i could be more help. So ignore my first post, its wrong. I believe.....
