I have a 90 GT convertible automatic and the speedometer works intermittently. The odometer works all the time.

Sorry, I didn't realize my last post went through. To answer someone else's question, the speedometer is either at 0 or it is working. The odomoter works when the speedometer works but it seems to be off.

It's most likely either the speedo gear on the end of the cable that may be stripped (they're plastic), or the cable itself. I would suggest replacing them both so everything will be new and be good for years to come.
