Hi folks, I've just joined and have spent the last hour searching on this conversion. I've posted my introduction on the appropriate board & am anxious to get some pointers~ I guess I'm not the only person who's thought of doing this. My reason mostly is I'm more of an old school guy and love the looks of a nice polished semi high rise manifold with some braided stainless lines and those sexy red & blue fittings, know what I mean??
I'm going to go with an Edelbrock manifold but am open to ideas on which one to choose. This will turn into a semi race track day car too, so I'm looking into a fuel cell versus regular fuel tank as well.
So after much reading and much more to do coming up, here's a few questions:
I'm going to go with a trunk mount pump & filter, what's a good setup?
Don't want to "overcarb", how small should I shoot for 600-700CFM?
Breakerless distibutor choice? Which ignition box?
Great aftermarket carb linkage choice?
Good fuel line size? 10AN too much?
If I do go with a cell, how big should my return to tank be? 10AN also?
