The leather on my steering wheel is worn out at the top and I would like to get a nice leather cover for it. Not one of those pre-molded slip on ones but something that you actually have to stitch. Something that goes on as tight as the original. I checked into the Wheelskins brand but they are kind of pricey. Does anybody have any experience with them or any other suggestions?

I haven't dealt with Wheelskins so I can't comment on that but you could do two things.

Contact Grant or Lecarra and see if you can get the material from them that they use on their leather wheels or contact a local upholstery shop for some material that way. I just haven't seen a steering wheel kit other than those slip on ones (ugh).
