My 5.0l seems to be running like it has a govener on it at 3300rpm in drive, not overdrive.. When I'm runnin about 30 mile an hour and punch it, it seems to hit a govener?? It doesn't seem to do it in overdrive. Any suggestions would definitely help..

Sounds like either a problem with the throttle valve cable, the valvebody, or the governor on the transmission.

Is there away to disconnect the governor on the transmission? Or somehow change were it is set?
