1993 mustang after 8cyl swap

k so iv got everything to do it, and i know how. but before i do it i want to know if i can be sneeky about it and certify it as a 4cyl and then swap the 5.0 in after. so i pay insurence on a 4 cyl turd and not a 5.0L cause im 18 and i would get bent over if i were to try to insure a 5.0L. so im curious as to the consequences of doing this.

thanks.

so i put this in the wrong section i thought i was in the 5.0 talk sorry. so if someone could move it that would be sweet thanks.
put it under ur parents name? and idk mabey i mean when they ask about it im pretty sure u say mustang lx or gt idk bout engine type but u might be able to and if u get caught and ur not sposed to do that u can get even more screwed
you insure the car I.E. Vin Number.... leave the 4 banger vin # u pay 4 Banger insurance
orang mustang is right, you get insurance with the VIN # and the VIN to that car is a 4 cyl. an insurance company usually wont go out and look under your hood when you get it.
ok thats sweet but what if i wreck it? do you think the insurents company will look to see if its still a 4 banger? there are no intence things they can do to f*** me is there?
Good luck getting through Drive Clean unless you make certain you are using the emissions systems from a 93 5.0L.

As for insurance, chances are they won't catch it but if you have a wreck and they do they will screw you. Canadian car insurance is stupidly expensive as you know and they are royal bastards too. I'd personally register it as a 4cyl and I would also get the Drive Clean certification before swapping in the V8.

well i don't need emissions up here so im good for that. so just to be sure u guys do think its a good idea and im not gona get F***ED?
With State Farm there is very little difference between a 4 cyl and a 8 cyl as far as price. It's insured by the VIN, Insurance Companies are suppose to inspect the vehicle before giving you a policy. In other words if it was in it when they insured it and didn't ask about any changes to the car they have to cover it. Insurance laws and guidelines are different everywhere.
