My 1994 mustang 5.0 is torqy as hell but still doesnt seem to wanna get up and go. I am looking into getting the 360 horsepower twisted wedge trickflow kit that comes with a cam heads valve covers upper and lower intake gaskets and hardware...

The car has total mileage unknown but is definitely over 100k my guess would be somewhere between 150k and 200k.

The bottom end is fine for right now... should I rebuild the bottom end at the same time or is it safe for me to slap this kit on? I do eventually want to rebuild the bottom all forged and boost the car so experts please chime in and gimme the scoop!

oh and its 5 speed if that makes any difference.

The TFS kit would work fine, once you get it running you'd be advised to get a custom chip made to fine tune your combination because the 1994-1995 computer is picky.

As for the bottom end, if you can afford to freshen it then do it. If you don't, you'll be redoing the bottom end before too long anyway because chances are with that mileage the rings and bearings are getting tired.

before spending $550.00 i would tear the motor down....

you never know you may only need rings and bearings.....

also for 350-500 additional you could build a stroker motor....

I prefer staying with a normal build because my knowledge isnt too advanced and you encounter less problems just boring out to a 306.

alright stock style! :bigthumbsup what does that summit kit include? Valve seals, rings, bearings, cam bearings, and external oil seals and gaskets? that seems like an alright deal for 550 if that's what it includes. Remember that if you bore the engine, you will need new pistons too, and a good set will run somewhere around 5 bills i believe.

btw i recently drove a customers all stock 28k original mileage 94 5.0 5 speed and that thing was painfully slow. maybe the timing was off or something, but it had comparable acceleration to a trash truck.
