I'm not sure what the problem is. When I decide to get into the throttle and take the rpm's to around 4200, it starts cutting out. The best way I can describe it, is that it acts like it's bouncing off the rev limiter. It did this through 1st and 2nd. and a a little bit in 4th.

I checked the plugs, they are fine. The air filter is good.

This spring I switched to a full synthetic and I also had put 91 octane fuel in it for the first time.
not sure either of those matter.


The car has under drive pulleys, cold air intake, msd ignition, 3:73 rear end, sub-frame connectors

PLEASE any help is appreciated.

MSD could have issues, but I would replace the plugs and wires they could be arcing out. 91 shouldnt be ran unless you have your timing set for it. I would be sure to gap the new plugs and replace the cap and rotor also, along with fuel filter.
