I am gonna replace all my fluids with royal purple fluid and i want to know what a good weight to use for the motor and rear end. I have looked a bunch of different places and keep getting different answers.
Thanks for the help and how much do i need

6 quarts of 5W20 for the engine as Ford reccommends. I use Motorcraft filters if you're wondering about filters. And 75W90 for the rear end. I can't remember the capacity though. I do know you fill it until it runs out the fill plug.

Well its actually 5w30 I looked it up on all data
No... actually it's 5W20.
It WAS 5W30... then the EPA made tons of stupid emissions laws and blah blah blah so Ford changed the recommendation to 5W20.

But I still run 5W30. Either way, you'll be fine. The oil debate saga continues.

agreed, i put 5w30 RP in my 98 GT with PI heads. I used 10w40 Castrol and was a bad choice. Castrol is good but that weight oil was incorrect for my engine setup.
Rear end use 75w90, I also concur!
