hi its my first time posting here and i have a question currently i have a very nice 1997 mustang 3.8 v6 and i have a 1984 mustang with a 302 5 speed now my question is how do i go about swapping the 84 engine not trans since my car is already a 5 speed
i know about running a fuel regulator or after market pump so my real question is will the k member be fine(with v8 motor mounts) and my 97 has after market dual exhaust so ima reuse that just extend what i need 2 there divorced so not a problem.. i appreciate any input you guys have to help me with this swap thanks

Welcome to AFM!

I have never personally done a swap such as this, but I actually don't think it will be terrible.

Do you plan on using/staying with fuel injection or converting to a carb?

uhh why would you put a 175hp V8 in a perfect car? The time, cost of it all make this a "don't do it"...you will have less than what you started with
I'd just sell both and buy a nice modern GT and work it up from there...really even if if the small block was stout you are looking at at alot of changes since none of the electronics would work

the 84 motor has mods done to it already and its fresh motor bored to 306 summit intake holley 600 carb hei dizzy bbk headers ect i was gonna put a cam equal to a e303 and call it a day the v6 engine is on its way out atm so i figured what the hell lol. not to mention i did alot of cosmetic work to the 97 cobra r hood rims lowered on steeda springs leather int gauges(emblem was on when i bought it)

ok so the swap is actually easy some people make it to hard all u have to do to swap a fox carburated motor in a 96+ sn95 is custom solid motor mounts and exhaust also take fuel pump our of tank and use a external one or regulate it nothing a person who knows how to use a welder cant handle ill have pics up soon just making bracket for the v6 ac to work
