1998 4.6 gt mustang won't start HELP!

i got a 98 mustang gt with a 4.6 was running fine just idled high all the time,i had the hood up and i disconnected the connection on the iac valve and it idled down then died.now it won't start at all.it's getting plenty of fuel i checked the fuel rail and its getting great fire.it was running good just ilded high i disconnected iac plug it died i reconnected it and it wont start at all it turns over just fine,but nothing.i even disconnected the battery to reset to computer.
any ideas people its driving me nuts, thanks

The car would still start even if the MAF was disconnected.

Thats all you did was disconnect the IAC? Do you have anyway to read the codes? Also how long did you leave the battery unhooked?

no i don't have a scanner to check the codes,but thats all i disconnected was the iac.doesn't makes any sense but i disconnected the battery for about 2 mins to reset the computer and still nothing.does any one think it could be throwing a code telling it not to crank...like a safe mode some what?

a shot in the dark, does it have a security system? That would keep it from starting...might need to see the Ford dealer...good luck
For Fords, the battery need to me disconnected for like 12 or so mins. I would do it for 15 just to be on the safe side.
