1998 Mustang GT Dual Bulb Headlight/HID Question

Hello, this is my first post here, but hopefully there will be many more to come!

I have some simple questions about the new headlights I am planning to get for my car. To start, I am most likely getting these ones - Black Clear Projector with LEDs and CCFL - 1998 Ford Mustang Projector Headlights

My question comes with the fact that it has two headlight bulbs. I know this is normal for newer cars, but my first question is will they function as they should, using one set for low and one for high beam, with an included wire harness or something similar to this pictured one from the same style light on a different site -

or will it end up working like standard dual beam bulbs using just the regular bulb for both and the other as a running light?

My second question is about upgrading to HID headlights. Similar to my first question, would it simply make it like a stock setup where one bulb just gets brighter, or would I technically need two HID kits, one for low beam and one for high?

I know they're weird questions, but any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
