My 98 GT's Check Engine Light came on. Kicked out codes of P1151 and P1150 (Pending) which are Lack of HO2S21 Switches - Sensor Lean, and Lack of HO2S21 Switches - Fuel Trim at Limit or Low Voltage and Circuit Failure (Ford/Generic). So it all seems to point to a bad upstream O2 sensor on bank 2. I already know to do them both since when 1 goes the other is soon to follow. The car has 98787 miles and has not had O2 sensors replaced to my knowledge. Symptoms on the car were no-existent at first, then degrading to a slight miss and fluttering between 500 and 900 rpm at idle. So before I do anything I want some feedback from anyone who has had this problem or might have a suggestion. Also, Ford wants $135 per sensor, Kragen wants $66. Any suggestions?
(I know that OEM is the way to go but I'm on a budget. I will, however break the bank for OEM parts if that is the smart thing with something like an O2 sensor.
