My window was stuck down the other day. I have been trying to figure out whats wrong with it. I've tested the switch with a voltage meter and i've swapped the power window switches too. I took the door panel off and rolled up the window using a 18 volt battery and touching them to the pigtails. I put it all back together and it wouldn't work still. I tried tapping the motor with a hammer while pressing the switch i can hear the motor whine a little bit when i press the button. Im kinda stuck any help is appreciated
mine was a bad connection check all wires make sure there not loose or fraid also check you ground to make sure thats not messed up. also check the relay to make sure its not getting stuck.
not sure were it is on your car but maybe the fuse box undernieth the hood or maybe under the steering wheel. they have diagrams to tell you were they are.
to check the relay just swap it with another one.
i hate power windows such a pain in the ass to work on. glad i havnt hade to many problems with mine on the mustang just a broke conector.
